Charles Hutter graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1966 with a BS in Physics. He served in the United States Air Force as a Captain in the Aerospace Defense Command starting up operation of the Space Defense Center in Colorado Springs, CO. In 1969 Charles founded Physical Systems, Inc., an industrial design firm, and followed with a successful series of contract research and development projects in the medical, motion picture, industrial, and electronics sectors. His enthusiasm for aviation led to his invention and development of a line of aerospace fastening and assembly products and would generate more than 80 patents worldwide covering the related technology. In 1987, Charles and his wife, Collie, founded Click Bond, Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary of Physical Systems and began manufacture of the Click Bond product line in Carson City, Nevada. As Inventor, he remains active in the product design, development and patenting process.
Charles is an ATP rated aircraft pilot with over 6,000 flight hours. Charles is a past president of the Aerostar Owners Association and has served on the boards of the Carson City Airport Authority and the Aerospace Industries Association. In 1993 Charles was designated the Nevada Inventor of the Year.
Collie Hutter is the co-founder of Click Bond with her husband, Charles Hutter. She previously served as Click Bond’s CFO/COO, and President. As Chairman Collie is active with corporate governance, long term strategy relating to the corporate intellectual property and maintaining the corporation as a privately held, family company. Collie, a native of Philadelphia, PA, received her BS in Physics from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA and her MBA from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Collie was an inaugural recipient of the Manufacturing Institute’s STEP Award for women for excellence in manufacturing and received the Notable Alumnae award from the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Collie is a past president of the Nevada Manufacturers Association, the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City and the Aerostar Owners Association; she served on the boards of the Carson City Airport Authority, the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Natick, MA and served on the Nevada System of Higher Education’s Fresh Look at Nevada’s Community Colleges Task Force and the Nevada Governors Workforce Investment Board. She is currently the chairman of the Truckee Meadows Community College Intuitional Advisory Council, and is the founder and past president of Dream It Do It Nevada, a manufacturing employer driven skilled workforce initiative.
In 2015, Karl Hutter became the President and Chief Executive Officer of Click Bond, Inc. Prior to becoming CEO, Karl held the roles of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Treasurer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer of the company. During his time leading the Sales and Marketing team, he focused on building Click Bond’s reputation as a solutions partner, enabling Click Bond’s technology on the F-35 program and numerous other key platforms across the commercial and defense aerospace sector.
Prior to leading the Sales department, Karl spearheaded the company’s business development and applications engineering efforts across the Asia-Pacific region, creating a strong foundation for global growth, particularly in Japan, China, and Australia. Karl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and another in applied science and entrepreneurial management and operations management from the Wharton School.
Karl is a certified Airline Transport Pilot and an active advocate for the aerospace industry. He serves on the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Board of Governors Executive Committee and Civil Aviation Leadership Council, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Board of Directors, the Aerospace Locknut Manufacturers Association (ALMA) Board of Directors, and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Board of Directors . He is the immediate past Chairman of the Carson City Nevada Airport Authority and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cardigan Mountain School.
Click Bond is pleased to announce that Brandon Perlich has officially assumed the role of company President on May 1st, 2024. Prior to that, he had served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for six years. Brandon Perlich originally joined Click Bond as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer after eight years with TriMas Corporation in various Division Finance Officer roles and ultimately as the Division Finance Officer of TriMas Aerospace, a portfolio of aerospace manufacturers. He also spent 10 years with the General Electric Company in various roles of increasing responsibility. He has demonstrated leadership in process evaluation and modernization, strategic planning, P&L responsibility, lean practices and business management.
Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Indiana University as well as an MBA from LeTourneau University.
