Reno's Pathways to Aviation Mentorship Program Assisted by Click Bond Engineer
Experts predict a shortage of aviation industry workers in the coming years. Pathways to Aviation in Reno is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to address this labor shortage and expose young people to career opportunities within the industry. During Aviation Career Week, activities were designed to celebrate and draw attention to aviation and aerospace careers.
On May 26, Click Bond Engineer II, Janet Hutchings, was invited to a virtual panel discussion about aerospace manufacturing engineering and the specialty of configuration management with local students who also asked questions via Zoom. Janet had the opportunity to share details about what Click Bond does, her career path, open positions, and career advice for aspiring students. Following the panel discussion, Janet was connected with a Reno student involved in Pathways to Aviation’s mentorship program. During several one-on-one conversations with her, she has been able to share details about this field in greater depth and assist her in career planning.
Click Bond has always been committed to serving its community and providing opportunities for young people to pursue STEM and aerospace careers. This event was an excellent way to make a personal connection with aspiring students and showcase the vital work we do so that one day they too might explore manufacturing or aerospace careers.
